Stair Sketch up
STAIR 1
Steel and Wire stairs
I like how it is floating allows more space in
small area
STAIR 2
Antonio Stradivari these stairs are inspired
by the his use of wood
the steel tops are like the wires on the violin

STAIRS
Stair 1
Material: Steel
I like these stairs because it gives of
a floaty feel but still masculine because of the
material it is made out of.
Stair 2:
Material: Wood and steel
The top plates are metal and the bottom part is wood
I like how wood and metal contrasts against each other
Stair 2:
Material: Steel
Reminds me of a Pyramid this stair allows the
person to go in both directions
Stair 4:
Material: wood
The shape is inspired by the violin as it
emphasises the curves of the wood

SKETCHUP
Sketch up 8
These are soem images of my sketch up, it was more about learning how to use sketch up rather then making the actual thing so probably next lesson ill be making a better design
Sketches
Image 1
Word: Soft and Speeding
The image drawn are circles which i thought was
round and soft although it could represent stone
textures
Image 2
Word: Masculine and Shell
Image 2 is drawn to show the masculinity through
harsh lines i like these harsh lines how they overlap
each other and look like a messed up pattern
the shell drawn reminds me of an
organism living and breathing
Image 3
Word: Engine and Hide
The engine drawn reminds me of like a piano due to
the wire like strings on the end could be
useful for the light stairs. the image below is like
sections curved and overlapping thus hiding soem
areas of the sketch (underground layers and levels)
Image 4
Word: Soft and Engine
I like this sketch a lot because of the below
ground leveli liek the geometric shapes that create
this illusion kinda feel. the swirls on
top looks thin n fragile
Image 5
Word: Shell and Masculine
I like this drawing because i can imagine what i am doing
the top level can be in a shape of a gem
and the bottom is masculine hard shapes
with industrial material
Image 6
Word: Speeding and hide
The sharp upside down spikes create a sense of movement
and the pattern below it creates little compartments
like hiding spots
Image 7
Word: Engine and Shell
When i think of an engine i think of circuits and lines
going in different directions
the word shell is inspired by the interior structure of the
form swirls
Image 8
Word: Shell and Engine
The shell is inspired by the arc shapes and
I added different layers to show the walls
the engine is again masculine with hard structures
to show the interlocking of the materials
Image 9
Word: Hide and Engine
The hide aspect of the image can be seen through
the walls closing off the inner sections
like it is protecting it
i wanted to create an abstract looking engine where
parts are blocks but under the blocks it is
Image 10
Word: Engine and Soft
I dont think i drew this one well the engine
is like an exhaust pipe inspired from motorbikes
the soft image doesn't feel that soft looks more
flimsy then soft
Image 11
Word: Speeding and Shell
The speed is demonstrated by the sharp lines
that form a lighting figure the shell literally looks
like a shell :P
Image 12
Word: Shell and Speeding
to create an interesting shell i go inspired by
pyramids
as they are thick structures but are hollow inside
the speed is inspired by sharks fins as they
swim fast cutting through the waters
Image 13
Word: Speeding and Soft
The speed is upside down car so fast it
sticks to the wall. the soft is inspired by leaves
and petals
and how they are delicate objects
Image 14
Word: Hide and Speeding
The maze creates the feeling of hiding and the
little walls that are poking in different
directions gives a private space
the speed is again demonstrated in the line
travelling in a specific direction
Image 15
Word: Masculine and Hide
Masculinity is seen through the defined structures
I like how they loop through each other
almost linking with hiding
the hide section is like levels where u can hide
like a crab in a shell
Image 16
Word: Shell and Masculine
Shell is inspired by crustaceans on the beach
masculinity is seen through the big structures and
no soft lines
Image 17
Word: Hide and Masculine
Hide can be seen through the narrow
entrance almost no one can see you
and the masculinity is defined
by the bold and thick lines of rectangles
Image 18
Word: Masculine and soft
Masculinity is seen through the bolts and
screw looking forms soft is shown through the different
layers of the curvy figure

ART MAJOR 2012
" Its beginning to end "
The artwork is based on he idea of how in todays society people are too focused on reaching there ambitions and desires making them forget being young and free and the elderly people.
SKY
The image was taken on a trip back home to Australia from Vietnam. this picture show me that no matter where u live everyone is looking at the same sky and can feel home creating a sense of comfort.
ST MARY AXE
this building is found in London
It is uses energy saving methods therefore enabling the tower to save power by using half the amount of a typical tower would consume.
